“Sew Vintage” Flouncy Sun Suit and Hat is just like the outfits that I made for my daughter 30 years ago. I remember making 5 in one day. One for each day of Vacation Bible School the following week.

All color coded sizes from 3 months to 24 months are included for both the sun suit and hat.

 The neck of the sun suit has a elastic casing for a comfortable fit which ties into a bow in back. The legs have elastic casing and instructions are given for an optional snap crotch. The back also has an elastic waist with 3 rows of flouncy ruffles.

The hat pattern is included with the sun suit pattern. It has 2 rows of flouncy ruffles with a pretty bow tied in the back. The hat pattern is also available as a separate pattern for $5.95

“Sew Groovy” Peasant Dress is a softly gathered a line shaped  dress with a flattering scoop neckline. Such a sweet and comfortable dress with elastic casing around the neck and sleeves. All color coded sizes from 6 months to 5 years are included in the same pattern.

 Some  peasant dresses look more like a paper bag with armholes cut out. “Sew Groovy” has more shapely lines and curves like the dresses from my groovy days of the 60’s.  To accomplish this pattern, I had to make the PDF pattern a full paper pattern that tapes together. Most peasant patterns are just straight pieces of fabric with armhole templates cut out. No shaping. If you do not want to tape together a full pattern then my “Sew Dainty “ blouse or under dress with just measurements and armhole templates is a good choice.

To add BLING, I have made my sample dress from a whimsy border print. It turned a plain dress into a WOW dress.

Need more BLING? Then add an optional bow sash or bow sash in back and flower in front or just the flower for several different looks. Just use your imagination and the sky is the limit.

No fussy bias binding armhole facings to deal with and the hems can be sewn by machine and still look professional.

Name That Hat!

This is a new hat pattern. The flower will be included with this hat and several more of my new crochet hat patterns. What is a good name for this hat? All my sewing patterns begin with the word "Sew" but this is crochet so I need a creative catchy name for this hat. Whoever suggest the name that I will eventually use will receive a free pattern of their choice.

"Sew Flattering" Peasant Blouse Pattern - Now Available!

This flattering peasant style blouse with ruffled neck and sleeves will be the staple of your child’s wardrobe. Make it long, ¾ or short sleeve for all seasons.

This pattern has a scooped neck, an aline  shape and a flattering fit. The ruffles are single edged fabric to give it an airy look. You can either hem or serge the ruffle edges.

Instructions are given for both shirred or elastic cased neckline and sleeves. Make it with the bottom ruffle to wear on the outside of skirts or jeans and make it plain bottom to wear under my pillowcase dresses or jumpers.

This downloadable pattern has 85 color pictures and has a total of 68 pages of step by step instructions and pattern pieces. The pattern pieces are divided into 2 groups of sizes 6M-5 and 6-14 for clarity and ease of taping pattern pieces together. You only have to print and tape the size group that you need and cut  on color coded lines. When you need another size just simply print pattern again. No wasting of tissue pattern or timely tracing of pattern.
